It’s that time again! I’ve been taking note of a few things that have given me joy throughout September which I'd like to share with you. Last month, T had a few favourites that I completely relate to, especially her song of the month, DNCE ‘cake by the ocean’, that’s definitely the song to summarise my summer!
What’s been the highlight of your season?
Belladonna of the month: Leah Shoup
@leahshoup is a language translator based in Santiago, Chile and the perfect person to follow if you have any kind of interest in South American culture.
In my interview with Leah she expressed how her love for language has influenced her life and fuelled me with a motivation to pursue my craft without inhibition.
Leah also has amazing tips on how to get by travelling in South America, and takes photos next to surreally scenic views of landscapes and street art - really what’s not to love?
You can read the interview I had with Leah here, or find out about Leah for yourself through her blog, ‘Gringa Journeys'.

Song of the month: Nobody Else - Jarreau Vandal ft. Basstacks & Niya Wells
While in Mallorca the WiFi was terrible. The positive side to this is that it pushed me to disconnect and focus on being with my friends. However, when it came to playing music while getting ready for dinner, this was just about the only song on my Soundcloud playlist that would play without depending on the WiFi. But Jarreau has such smooth vocals that I didn’t mind at all!
This song manages to strike a balance between calling on the amazing beats’ of the 90’s while still sounding modern, and when both of your friends start asking, “who’s that girl?” Well, you heard it here first.
Product of the month: Dr Bronner's soap
I have sensitive skin which prompted me to try Dr.Bronner’s soap as it's made with natural ingredients. I can understand why this product is so popular in the blogging sphere! The soap doesn't irritate my skin and it's also a multi-purpose function means that you could use it as a body wash, shampoo, a cleaner for your makeup brush and even for domestic cleaning.
The icing on the cake is the fragrance. This is the first soap I've used that has a lasting scent to the extent where people will comment on it's fragrance long after my bath or shower.

Quote of the month:
If you have experienced a situation where your efforts weren’t appreciated, or someone else made you feel less than worthy, this Belladonna Instagram post is a great reminder. You are enough.

Podcast of the month:
‘She Does’ podcasts are a series of interviews with inspiring women in creative industries. These bold characters give insights that will challenge your perspective and values. I listened to this episode earlier this month for a dose of motivation.
I’d love to hear about some of your monthly favourites as well, leave me a comment below!
